I have a Piper Warrior II PA-28-161
These dropped right in. Bright and very low current draw. They are EXPENSIVE (welcome to aviation), but the cheapest option on the internet currently.
Hopefully, they will last as long as they say, however seeing that they are from a reputable company puts my mind at ease.
Other than that, they are lights and are pretty straight forward. They are brighter than the originals (incandescent), don't cause my amp meter to freak out when I use them and I feel safer being able to keep them on longer than my originals.
These are worth it, for safety, piece of mind and the ability to SEE THE RUNWAY!

I have had my PAR 36 landing light for about 2.5 years and recently had to return it for warranty replacement. It was in bad shape from rock impacts and some nearby exhaust leaks, but it had ultimately failed due to the internal fasteners coming loose and allowing the LED assembly to bounce around loosely.
Whelen initially denied my warranty request due to its poor appearance, but later agreed to replace it after I assured them that this light was installed correctly and not intentionally abused. I also urged them to conduct some failure analysis to see why the internal fasteners came loose so they can avoid similar claims in the future.
The replacement light just arrived, as promised and I am a very satisfied Whelen customer. These are good products but are backed by a very good company.
